March 2010 -- I am very pleased to welcome a major national brand, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, to my client roster. Healthtrust is the purchasing organization of HCA, whose members purchase over $17 billion annually. First project will be a national ad campaign.
March 2010 -- A warm welcome goes out to Terri Knott and Armor Concepts, a manufacturer who has moved operations from New Jersey to Nashville. Terri was formerly the Brand Manager at Gaylord Hotels, where I was happy to work with her for three years. I'm glad she has carried Dakini Graphics to her new position as Vice President of Corporate Development at Armor Concepts. AC produces patented products that drastically increase home safety, available in major retail stores such as Lowe's.

Nov 2009 -- Welcome, St. George's Episcopal Church, a vibrant and historic church located in Belle Meade with an extensive full-time staff. This came to me via Amy Norton of Norton Communications, who is a writer in my network of creative professionals. Thanks, Amy!

Nov 2009 -- Welcome, Environmental Waste Solutions, a company which develops solutions to issues of industry and community, bringing balance to man and his environment. I was particularly proud to be awarded this account, as I was in the running with two full-service ad agencies. I designed their logo and am working ontheir tagline, website, signage business cards, etc. I brought in Earnhardt-Pirkle Productions as the perfect partners for creating the video for this start-up company.

I am proud to be part of a network of professionals who deliver an extraordinary level of service to businesses in Middle Tennessee. Oct 2009 -- Welcome, Arrington Retreat, an exciting new upscale community under development in Williamson County. City-like amenities in retreat-like surroundings with abundant nature, just minutes from Nashville, Frankin, and Murfreesboro. I named the community and streets, designed their logo, and am currently designing their website, signage, and collateral materials.
Oct 2009 -- Welcome to three food companies under the umbrella of Arbre Holdings, Inc:
• The parent company Paris Foods, which supplies frozen fruits and vegetables to the Foodservice and Industrial markets. Operating from five facilities on the Eastern Seaboard, Paris packages product and distributes in full or partial shipments to the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest.
• Arbre Farms, based in Michigan, which works directly with farmers to get the best possible fruits and vegetables, then processes and packages them to order.
• Willow Cold Storage & Packaging, based in Michigan, which stores and packages fruits and vegetables.
I am branding the two new firms and working overall with logo, website, and collateral design.
Oct 2009 -- Welcome, Twisted Fork Cafe, a delightful eatery in friendly downtown Leipers' Fork. Eat in, take out, or cater... they offer fresh country cooking with a sophisticated twist.
Oct 2009 -- Welcome, Bandy, Van Cleave & Williamson, an independent insurance agency. I am pleased to be designing their website, in teamwork with the fabulous Amy Norton, copywriter.
Sept 2009 -- Welcome, The Imagery Group, a national promotions company based in Nashville. They are an industry leader in name badge manufacturing, making the process easy for promotions agencies and their clients. I am designing eblasts, the annual catalog cover, and various collateral projects.
August 2009 -- Welcome aboard, Honeycutt, Guin & Hooper, PLLC, Nashville Attorneys at Law, located just off Nashville's Music Row at 20 Music Circle East. I am designing their website.
July 2009 -- Welcome, Nashville Gallery Fine Art & Framing, located on South 11th Street in the historic and vibrant Five Points area of East Nashville, approximately 5 minutes from downtown Nashville. I will be doing collateral design for the gallery.
July 2009 -- Welcome, Leipers Fork Coffee & Tea, an independently-owned coffee roaster, located in the heart of Franklin, Tennessee. You can come by and witness your order being roasted or private label your coffee for your private blend.
July 2009 -- Welcome aboard, Integrated Sports Management, a full service, independent sports management agency that was founded in 1996. The Company’s provides a myriad of contract, business and related services to professional athletes primarily employed by the thirty-two franchises of the National Football League (NFL). With offices in Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale and Nashville, ISM resides among the top tier of NFL representation agencies in the country.
June 2009 -- It's great to keep good design in the family. I am proud to welcome a new client, my sister-in-law Doris Frizzell, with her new home staging business, Simply Sophisticated. She has exquisite taste and a great personality. I hope she'll be very successful. I have designed her website, trifold, business cards, etc.
May 2009 --I am pleased to have designed the cover for Buddhist Fasting Practice by Wangchen Rinpoche, published by Snow Lion Publications based in Ithaca, NY.
April 2009 -- I am pleased to welcome a new client, Capital Confirmation, whose clients already include nine of the top ten banks in America. I am designing tradeshow, sales, and corporate identity pieces for them.

Jan 2009 -- I was happy to design the new website for the Nashville Buddhist Festival, using the graceful art of Lisa Ernst for the logo design. The festival presents educational and entertaining events for the community of Nashville and beyond.
Jan 2009 -- Snow Lion Publications has published The Dark Red Amulet by Khenchen Palden Sherab and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal. I designed the text and cover. Snow Lion is located in Ithaca, New York, and is the premier publisher of Tibetan Buddhist texts. The Khenpos are Tibetan lamas who escaped after the Chinese invasion in 1959 and are now based in upstate New York.

December 2008 -- Attending "O Night Divine" fundraising gala for the Pujols Family Foundation in St. Louis, MO. On a personal note, I'd like to thank Deidre and Albert Pujols and everyone at the Foundation for the kindness you've shown to my brother and sister-in-law since the death of my nephew, Jordan Wayne Henderson.
November 2008 -- I am now Education Director for the West End chapter of Business Networking International. July 2008 -- The fifth book in the Philosophy series of Padma Samye Ling Shedra is published. Opening the Wisdom Door of the Outer Tantras by Khenchen Palden Sherab and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal. I designed the text and cover for the series, which has an academic flavor.
July 2008 -- The book Illuminating the Path by Khenchen Palden Sherab and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal has been published. I designed the text and cover. The book covers foundational meditation practice in the Tibetan Nyingma tradition. The Khenpos are Tibetan lamas who escaped after the Chinese invasion in 1959. They are based in upstate New York.

May 2008 -- Welcome to new client, DuBose Conference Center. Based in Monteagle, they are a conference center of the Episcopal Church in Tennessee. I will be designing print collateral to raise funds for one of their buildings which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

April 2008 -- I am pleased to welcome Bay Home & Window to my client roster. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, they are a leader in their industry, having received the coveted BBB Honor Roll Award for eleven consecutive years.

February 2008 -- Snow Lion Publications has accepted my cover design for a landmark biography of Dudjom Rinpoche, Light of Fearless Indestructible Wisdom, by Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal. It features a repeating pattern of Dudjom Rinpoche's insignia, which I found on an old document and turned into a graphic element. I will also be designing the text this spring.

November 2007 -- I am pleased to welcome new client James-Ben Studio & Gallery Art Center, an acclaimed gallery and award-winning working artist studio located on historic Morgan Square in Greeneville, Tennessee. It is owned by my dear old friends, James-Ben Stockton and Daniel Luther. Their new website is now up, featuring a look that is as eclectic and friendly as their gallery.
November 2007 -- Completed training in Flash CS3 Professional for website motion graphics at Echo•eleven, an Adobe authorized training center in Atlanta. My second class with the inimitable Holly Quarzo, two-time Macromedia Instructor of the Year.
October 2007 -- I am pleased to welcome Naked Stages to my client roster. One of the most innovative professional theatre companies in Nashville, their concept is to start with a bare stage and only add what is essential to telling the story. October 2007 -- New magazine launched for Upper Room Ministries. Named Portico, it is a combination magazine and catalog for the United Methodist Publishing House. It's in a stylish 6"x10" size, suitable for the new mailing prices and small enough to carry around in hand. Editor: Stephen Farrar, Publisher: Jill Ridenour, Art Director: moi!
October 2007 -- New website launched for The Oxford Real Estate Company, with offices in Memphis and Middle Tennessee. Their identity is all about black on black plus silver, yet most websites rely on color for punch. In this case, subtle black-on-black textures achieved the desired result and reinforced their branding.
September 2007 -- New website launched for Tim Disalvo & Company, a master home builder/remodeler in Memphis, TN.
July 2007 -- New website launched for RiverBirch Homes, an award-winning, upscale home builder/developer. Phase One of their launch is 20 web pages, with more features to come in the future.
July 2007 -- I am pleased to welcome Tim Disalvo & Company aboard. Tim is a high-end builder/remodeler from Memphis featured in the July issue of At Home Tennessee Magazine. My first job will be to re-design his website. Special thanks to Mike Boatman, whose excellent interior photography is featured in the above magazine.
