Honda Marine – "Wake" Campaign Year 1

For the second year of their “It’s All About Power” campaign, Honda Marine wanted shots of running boats to show their powerful products in action. However, leafing through marine magazines, one sees page after page of full-bleed pictures of boats running.

So I developed this look to show the boats cutting through space, with dramatic foam and gutsy headlines. Even the headline type is treated to indicate motion. Three of the photos were provided by the client; I directed the photo shoot for “Big Dogs,” “Fly Fish,” "Party Animal," and "Trade Wind" in the Florida Keys with famous marine photographer Mike Fuller.
