Ben Lomand is a rural telephone co-op with a high-tech array of products. They not only offer telephone service, but also cable, Internet, medical alert systems, and more. When large national cable and phone companies are competing for the same business, what is their competitive edge? Their local ownership and character.

All three of the annual reports shown focus on the pride of the rural south and the local touch of the company, whether it be through idyllic scenes of rural life, scenes of how employees are involved in the community, or a quilt motif to show the interrelationship of the co-op members and the co-op itself.
