Charter Communications – Digital Sales Kit
Once upon a time, MicroSoft co-founder and Charter Communications Chairman Paul Allen envisioned a Wired World™ – a global broadband network that would interconnect every home, facilitating the convergence of television, computers, the Internet and communications.
The first step in launching this new vision was to introduce digital cable – then an emerging technology – to Charter’s own employees. A 12-piece Digital Sales Kit was created to enroll them in the possibility of the new “Wired World.”
The result? Charter’s employees were enthusiastic and quickly trained in the new product. As a result, digital subscriptions were way ahead of projections – over a million digital customers in the first year. Charter’s stock soared and Paul Allen’s “Wired World” was successfully launched.
